Unlike the mixed architectural styles of other parks within Disney World, art deco reigns throughout Disney-MGM Studios.  This side of a building along Sunset Boulevard within the park shows the strong art deco influence.

Through this gateway, in the building beyond, was the Florida studio for Walt Disney Feature Animation.  For fifteen years, park visitors could watch Disney animators and staff - including me - from behind a huge glass wall creating the animated movies, and learn a little bit about the production process.  “Mulan”, “Lilo and Stitch”, and “Brother Bear” were created here, along with portions of at least a dozen other Disney animated features over the years.  The studio closed in early 2004, and the production space is now part of the tourist area.
