Wiscasset
Anyone heading north on US Highway 1 through Wiscasset, perhaps on the way to Acadia National Park, will no doubt have noticed this little red shack on the left side of the road just before crossing the wide Sheepscot River. Red’s Eats, a fast-food joint now approaching 70 years of age, seems an odd institution for a New England town as pretty as Wiscasset.
